Find the Right Fit
I fell in love with precision metals because there's a satisfaction to knowing that you can make something. I didn't jump right into college when I left high school, I ended up having a child, and then decided that I wanted to come back. And I went for business administration and decided that I needed something more hands-on. At community colleges, that there's a lot of different trades that you can take that hands-on, and you don't have to be sitting at a desk all day. There's so many opportunities that pay so well with this career. I'll be able to take it and get a good job that pays well enough for me and my child. My daughter loves the fact that I go to school, and she loves the fact that we both are at school. So when I asked her about her day, sometimes she'll ask about my day, it's kind of something we can connect on. I definitely recommend community college. I think that community college is a good option, because here it's smaller, it's easier to get help if you need it. Even if it's home help or if it's school help. Everyone is just kind of hear for you. It's like a little community or family together. I feel that I'm on a better path and what I was because before I couldn't see a future where I was going and now I have goals and I know where I'm going to be what I want to do. And I don't have to rely on anyone by myself anymore. That's what I want. I know it's going to benefit me and my child.
